You wake up… and your bladder tells you to get to the toilet… STAT.

But as soon as you’ve stumbled to the bathroom, that “emergency” turns out to be a mere “drop” in the bucket!

Gentlemen, there’s nothing more frustrating than what I call a “leftover urge” (a.k.a. urinary retention), which is most commonly caused by prostate enlargement (a.k.a. benign prostatic hyperplasia, or BPH).

With BPH, your prostate swells and basically pinches your urethra, which restricts urinary flow and prevents full bladder emptying.

You may feel so aggravated — and sleep deprived — that you’ll swallow any pill that your doc tells you will help.

But even if those drugs help you in the BATHROOM, they may cause new problems… in the BEDROOM.

And according to a new study, your doc may leave you in the dark about these undesirable side effects.

In the study, published in the World Journal of Urology, researchers surveyed about 250 urologists about the treatment options they offered to those with BPH (or other lower urinary tract symptoms) AND which side effects they discussed with their patients.

Now, we know that commonly prescribed drugs for prostate issues can make it tougher to perform “in the moment”… and may even zap your “mojo” entirely.

But nearly a THIRD of the docs surveyed in the study said that they DON’T routinely mention these side effects to their patients when they prescribe them.

That’s a pretty gaping omission!

What’s more, most of the docs said that they don’t discuss alternatives to these drugs… even though we know that many natural herbs can effectively shrink your prostate WITHOUT causing bedroom troubles.

In fact, docs with the highest caseloads — meaning that they see the most BPH cases each month — were the LEAST likely to offer alternatives!

That means that a heck of a lot of folks are popping these pills blindly… and suffering a blow to their manhood they didn’t bargain for.

So, if you’re dealing with BPH, don’t trust the mainstream to tell you everything you need to know.

And instead of popping a pill, try some natural alternatives first.

Studies have shown that a combination of stinging nettle and saw palmetto is just as effective as some popular drugs for BPH.

Make sure your palmetto extract is 85 to 95 percent fatty acids and sterol — otherwise, it may not have enough potency to get the job done.

Typically, 160 mg of it twice daily combined with 300 mg of stinging nettle extract daily will do the trick, but talk to your doc about the right dosage for you.

You can often find both of these herbs combined in a good prostate support formula at your local health store.

And since BPH can actually be a symptom of zinc and/or essential fatty acid deficiency, add some unroasted sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and fatty acid-rich flaxseed oil to your diet.
