The FDA has finally admitted oleic acid – a type of fat – is NOT the demon they’ve vilified for DECADES.
In an unapologetic about-face, they’re now saying it actually reduces the risk of coronary artery disease.
Well, it’s nice to finally have you on board, FDA…
Because holistic doctors have known this for years.
Today, I’ll show you why the FDA’s suddenly “seen the light.”
Then, I’ll reveal my time-tested strategy for using oleic acid to SLASH your risk of heart disease.
All fats are not created equal
For the last two or three decades, we’ve been told that fat is bad because it clogs our arteries.
This “no-fat craze” made no distinction between different types of fat; ALL FAT was vilified.
And the truth is, there was very little research to support that view.
Now, studies are revealing that not only are there different types of fats…
Some of them are actually good for us!
That’s why, after many years, the FDA is finally retreating from its “no-fat” stance.
It issued a statement stating there’s “credible evidence” that oleic acid reduces the risk of coronary artery disease.
Oleic acid is a natural fatty acid is found in certain cooking oils, including:
- Olive oil
- Grapeseed oil
- Sunflower oil
- Avocado oil
- Macadamia nut oil
I’m happy the FDA has FINALLY caught on; fat is a key component of many essential areas and processes in our body. For example:
- The membranes of our cells and organs are a whopping 80 percent fat.
- The human brain is nearly 60 percent fat. Not only that, multiple studies have proven your brain actually needs fat in your diet to perform at peak!
If you optimize fat in your body by keeping the bad stuff out and getting the good stuff in, it can have REMARKABLE benefits on the health of your brain, skin, heart, and immune system at large.
Keep reading; I’ll show you how…
How to “get fat” (the good kind!)
The goal is to get all the fats that you need – and in just the right amounts.
For example, you should avoid canola oil even though it contains oleic acid.
Over 90 percent of canola oil is made from genetically modified seeds; it’s actually a “Frankenfood” that’s highly processed and chock full of toxic junk!
Instead, minimally processed olive oil is a great choice. It’s proven beneficial time and time again to protect against heart disease, Alzheimer’s, and inflammation.
One recent study actually found that extra virgin olive oil cleans out your arteries!
Grapeseed and avocado oil are also tasty choices loaded with heart healthy (and other) benefits.
Make the best use of any of “good” cooking oils by using them sparingly in combination with a diet featuring lean meats and vegetables (think Paleo!).
Remember: fats are calorically dense, so a little goes a long way. You don’t need much to make you feel full.
Two tablespoons on a spinach salad is plenty enough to satisfy you AND cut your risk of heart disease!
