There’s a quiet disease lurking in our midst.
It’s as widespread as the common cold…
Yet most people don’t even realize they have it.
And that’s a huge problem—because the disease SIGNIFICANTLY raises your risk for a number of potentially FATAL conditions, including:
- Type 2 diabetes
- DOUBLING your risk of heart attack
- DOUBLING your risk of stroke
- And more!
Today, I’ll show you how you can identify whether you’re at risk for this SCARY disease.
Then, I’ll show you how to beat it because, folks, THIS ONE is 100 percent PREVENTABLE!
Silent, deadly…and PREVENTABLE
It’s called metabolic syndrome. Basically, it’s an easy way to group a lot of conditions (high blood pressure… high blood sugar… belly fat… etc.) that can cause heart attacks, dementia, and a lot more.
The biggest characteristic though, is chronic low-grade inflammation.
And the biggest cause? Weight gain.
But that’s just one factor…
In fact, there are FIVE signs to look for to determine whether you’re at risk for metabolic syndrome. If you have at least three of these, you can be diagnosed with the condition:
- A big waistline. Excess weight around the middle is the biggest sign.
- A high triglyceride level. Triglycerides are a type of fat found in your blood.
- A low HDL cholesterol level. HDL, sometimes referred to as “good” cholesterol, helps remove cholesterol from your arteries.
- High blood pressure. If your blood pressure is high over time, it can cause damage to your heart and lead to plaque buildup.
- High fasting blood sugar. This can be an early sign of diabetes.
Remember, if you’re on any meds to treat these factors…consider yourself at risk for that factor!
How to leave metabolic syndrome in the dust
The first few of these pointers won’t surprise you…
If weight is the biggest factor…you’ll need to lose some pounds, get some exercise, and eat a healthy diet.
Those who’ve been following my Health e-Tips know I’m a huge proponent of the Paleo diet…
Try it to notch weight loss and healthy diet off your list—it’s great for both! You’ll focus on whole, non-processed foods including lean meats and veggies. Sugar and refined carbs are no-no’s.
Add some moderate exercise 3-5 days a week (30 to 60 minutes of walking, swimming, yoga, or whatever it is you enjoy) and you’ll be on your way.
But here’s another BONUS that might surprise you. Add it into your plan to get an extra BUTTKICKING BOOST to fight kick metabolic syndrome…
The condition largely affects your levels of vitamin C, so you need to get MORE of it.
Sure, you could try eating bunches of broccoli, taking double the suggested dose of vitamin C supplements, or eating far too many oranges. But excess oral vitamin C collects in your colon where it attracts water… so you’ll only wind up on the toilet.
That’s why I highly recommend intravenous vitamin C.
IVC will be easier on your body. And it’ll INSTANTLY increase your antioxidants and start picking off free radicals, giving you the edge you need to free yourself from metabolic syndrome!
