Big Pharma does a fine job representing the real “snake oil salesmen” of modern day.
Some of the drugs they’ve made do exactly what they’re supposed to. In that sense, their medications aren’t completely bunk. But they’re commonly linked with side effects that can send you to an early grave – which defeats the whole purpose of medicine.
Like the snake oil salesmen of yore, they believe they’ve got one elixir that solves dozens of issues...
And, of course, it’s all done in the interest of making money.
Their latest sales “trick” is persuading you that statins–the same drugs used to lower cholesterol–can shut down rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
Don’t let the flimflam get to you, folks…
This suggestion is downright dangerous!
Keep reading; first, we’ll debunk the sales pitch. Then, I’ve got two, far BETTER ways to beat RA.
A new study focused on participants with rheumatoid arthritis. RA patients are 50 percent more likely to have a heart attack or stroke than people without it.
Researchers found statins lowered cholesterol levels and reduced the risk of cardiovascular events (though, not significantly); it also lowered C-reactive protein.
C-reactive protein is an indicator of inflammation…which just so happens to be implicated in rheumatoid arthritis.
This reduction in inflammation is what they point to for their success.
But wait a minute here…
If we want to reduce inflammation, we have natural cures that work far better than statins.
And they do it WITHOUT statins’ risk of:
- Blocking the cardio-related benefits of exercise
- Dizzy spells
- Muscle aches, tenderness, and weakness
Statins have been linked to diabetes… which RAISES your risk of having a heart attack – the exact thing they’re supposed to prevent.
No; if you want to treat RA, definitely DON’T reach for a statin.
Reach for one of these…
The REAL way to get rid of RA – and associated heart problems
There are a few, highly effective ways you can reduce inflammation naturally.
First, via your diet. You have your choice of dozens of fruits and vegetables that can reduce inflammation thanks to their antioxidants. In fact, eating a colorful array of vegetables and fruits is one of the very BEST ways to help control RA.
Your best bets are high antioxidant foods like berries (in moderation), darky leafy greens, and beets.
Of course, this kind of diet is also associated with SLASHING your heart disease risk.
You can also turn to one of the most powerful antioxidants currently known to man, curcumin. Derived from the spice turmeric, it’s even been shown in studies to perform similarly to statins; in one study, curcumin reduced “bad” cholesterol (the primary use for statins) and triglycerides.
The key with curcumin, though, is to find a supplement that has black pepper extract included. Without it, your body will have a difficult time absorbing curcumin and you won’t see the benefits you want.
