At the end of every drug commercial, there’s that quick-talking guy you can barely understand
You mostly tune it out. He’ll warn you about side effects like dry mouth… headache… and the inevitable risk of dying that you don’t think can happen to you.
But there’s one he’ll mention about diabetes drugs that should make you do a DOUBLE TAKE.
It’s absolutely horrifying.
And if you’re over 50, your risk is even higher…
The genital flesh-eating bug
Sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT2 inhibitors) are prescribed to type 2 diabetics to prevent sugar absorption in the kidney.
The group of oral diabetes drugs have been approved for use since 2013; you may be familiar with their trade or generic names, including:
- Forxiga (Dapagliflozin)
- Invokana (Canagliflozin)
- Jardiance (Empagliflozin)
But I’ll let you in on a little known fact…
In 2018, the FDA made it mandatory for all SGLT2 inhibitors to carry a warning they can cause Fournier’s Gangrene.
That’s because the reported adverse effect has been reaching a BOILING POINT after being in circulation for roughly six years. (Yes, the FDA and BIG PHARMA have known about it all along!)
As of January 31st of this year, there have been THREE TIMES as many reported cases compared to other diabetes drugs. Only those other drugs have been around for 35 YEARS – nearly six times as long!
And if you’re over 50 and have diabetes, your risk for FB shoots through the roof.
No friends; these diabetes drugs just aren’t worth it – especially when you find out what Fournier’s Gangrene is...
FG is a necrotizing infection of your perineum (the area between your anus and genitals) that often expands to your genitals as well.
You don’t have a lot of time to get it treated. At best, you’re dealing with hospitalization. If it doesn’t get treated in time, you’re going to need a skin graft – if you’re lucky.
It’s not pleasant and you shouldn’t wish it on your worst enemy.
Instead, there are some wonderful, natural solutions you can turn to that’ll help get your type 2 diabetes under control—or even REVERSE the condition entirely!
Simple ways to lower your blood sugar levels
A sure-fire way to save your rear end is to take a walk after eating...
A study has shown that even a short, 10-minute post-meal walk can SLASH your blood sugar levels.
Or, add a little protein to your breakfast...
Scientists found that a glass of milk with breakfast can majorly cut the blood sugar hit you’d take from a carb-filled breakfast.
But in my opinion, it’s best to stick to the Paleo Diet – which does not include dairy products at all. This “caveman diet” only includes foods our ancestors would have eaten. Think meat, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and the occasional seasonal fruit. Since they didn’t milk animals, dairy simply isn’t on the list.
By eating this way and avoiding processed foods, your blood sugar levels become a miniscule concern because you’re controlling them without even thinking. I’ve seen folks completely REVERSE type 2 diabetes simply by sticking to Paleo!
Now, when it comes to supplements, berberine and curcumin are also excellent ways to SLASH your blood sugar levels.
Pair them with Paleo and you’ll really be headed in the right direction!
