This year sure is flying by, but if there’s one lesson we’ve learned over the last several months, it’s that NO ONE is immune to the coronavirus. 

But as I’ve shared with you several times before, certain folks have a higher risk of severe cases than others.

COVID-19 and Parkinson’s: What’s the outlook? 

As you already know, I’ve been fighting Parkinson’s for over a decade. 

If you or a loved one also suffer from this life-altering disease, it’s a good idea to take extra care in the age of coronavirus. 

In a new study published in the Journal of Parkinson’s Disease, researchers reveal that Parkinson’s patients with COVID-19 could experience new or worsening motor and non-motor symptoms. 

Some of the new symptoms included stiffness, tremor, difficulty walking, mood symptoms, cognition, and fatigue. 

What’s more? Patients with longer Parkinson’s disease duration had a HIGHER risk of pneumonia, the need for supplemental oxygen, or hospitalization 

When it rains, it pours, folks.  

So if you or a loved one suffer from Parkinson’s, you should be taking EVERY precaution possible. 

To help improve your Parkinson’s symptoms, I recommend adding plenty of vitamin E and omega-3 fatty acids to your diet. 

Leafy greens, avocados, nuts, and seeds are excellent sources of vitamin E, while omega-3 fatty acids can be found in oily fish like salmon and mackerel as well as nuts and flaxseeds. 

Both of these nutrients are also readily available in supplement form. Just make sure to talk to a doc who’s well-versed in integrative medicine about the right dosage for you. 

But don’t just stop there — you should still practice social distancing, wash your hands often (for at least 20 seconds!), and take supplements to strengthen your immune system.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, no arbitration under this Agreement may be joined to an arbitration involving any other party subject to this Agreement, whether through a class action, private attorney general proceeding, class arbitration proceedings or otherwise.
