A ‘Juicy’ Way to SLASH Disease, BOOST Longevity

But a new study has found a better, juicier solution – and it just may be the best of the BUNCH.

Hiding in Plain Sight

On a typical day, dinner tables across this country are LOADED with red meat, saturated fats, processed foods, sugary sodas, pastries, and other rich desserts.

But our Western diet is making Americans FATTER and SICKER than ever – and has become the leading cause of fatty liver disease in NON-DRINKERS.

The good news is, a new study found a ‘juicy’ secret that could dramatically reduce the risk of this deadly disease – even for folks who eat the Western diet.

What is it?  GRAPES.

Yep, the same grapes that may be in your fruit drawer right now – hiding in plain sight.

See, researchers knew that a high-fat diet SLASHED longevity in mice.

They also knew that grapes are rich in resveratrol – a phytonutrient with potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.

So, they conducted a study to see if a daily serving of grapes could EXTEND the lifespan of mice who ate the SAME unhealthy diet most Americans follow.

They fed two groups of mice the Western diet, but one group ALSO got the equivalent of two cups of grapes each day.

The unlucky mice that didn’t get grapes got something else – NAFLD. Plus, they DIED a lot sooner than they should have.

But the mice that ate grapes enjoyed a MUCH happier ending.

Their risk of fatty liver disease PLUNGED… and they LIVED five years LONGER.

Researchers found that grapes altered gene expression, which helped PREVENT dangerous fat from accumulating in the liver, and REVERSED the unhealthy effects of the Western diet.

They concluded that eating grapes over a lifetime could lead to a SIGNIFICANT boost in survival – at least, in MICE.

And as the lead researcher noted, “This might be profoundly important since so many people are affected by fatty liver. We need to examine this in greater detail.”

Add Grapes to your Grocery List

Friend, I agree. These results will surely lead to follow-up studies to see if grapes deliver the same life-extending benefits to HUMANS. And overall protection against NAFLD.

Until then, I recommend adding a few handfuls of grapes to your menu each day.
