Women: Learn These Heart Attack Warning Signs

In the movies, heart attacks are VERY dramatic… involving lots of chest clutching, staggering, and crumpling to the ground.

Well, that COULD happen… but most of the time, that’s not even CLOSE.

For one thing, the movies AREN’T real life… plus the characters having heart attacks are usually MEN.

See, here in the real world, WOMEN have heart attacks, too – plus OTHER cardiovascular problems, like strokes and heart disease, our nation’s #1 killer.

And research shows that the warning signs in women are often subtle and varied – leading many victims to DISMISS them – or BLAME them on something else.

Do YOU Know What to Look For?

Friend, it’s critical to know how to identify the signs of acute heart problems… because failure to spot these warnings means failure to act.

And that could lead to more heart damage… a rougher recovery… and even a higher risk of DEATH.

Here are some red flags you should NEVER ignore… because they could save your LIFE.

Heart disease

Many women worry about breast cancer. But heart disease is actually their BIGGEST health threat.

In fact, heart disease KILLS one out of three American women every year.

It covers a range of conditions, including abnormal heart rhythms, problems with blood vessels and valves, heart failure, and other serious issues that can damage your ticker – or worse.

Typically, women are diagnosed LATER in life than men… and may have OTHER underlying conditions that make the subtle symptoms of heart disease much more difficult to pinpoint.

In both sexes, the signs usually don’t appear individually, but rather, in clusters – and worsen over time.

For example, you may not be able to breathe as deeply as you’re used to… or walk as far.

Plus, in women, key heart disease signs include unexplained chest discomfort, excessive sweating, body aches, shortness of breath, numbness and weakness, heart palpitations, unusual fatigue, heartburn, nausea, or vomiting.

Heart attack

A heart attack occurs when blood flow to the heart muscle is reduced or blocked completely.

Chest pain is the classic symptom, but not EVERYONE experiences that elephant-on-my-chest feeling – especially women, who are 50 percent more likely to have a heart attack with no chest pain at all.

In BOTH sexes, the symptoms often include chest pain, shortness of breath, and pain in the arms (especially, the left arm) or shoulders.

Plus, while men are TWICE as likely as women to have a heart attack…

Women usually have more symptoms that are vague and non-specific, like chest tightness or pressure that can radiate to the back, neck, or jaw, nausea, lightheadedness, extreme fatigue, and breaking out in a nervous, cold sweat.

Stroke

Strokes occur when blood flow to the brain is cut or reduced.

In both sexes, the signs include facial drooping, arm weakness, difficulty speaking, dizziness, and confusion.

Additionally, women often experience headache and what researchers called a “more severe altered mental state” – specifically confusion, disorientation, and memory problems.

Get Help Right Away

Friend, it’s VERY important to know what heart problems LOOK like – and FEEL like.

But the KEY is keeping in tune with YOUR body.

You know what’s normal and what’s not… and when something feels wrong or off, see your doctor ASAP.
