FACING Weight Loss Drugs’ Hidden Risks

Most EVERYBODY wants to lose weight…

And lots of overweight or obese folks are willing to do whatever it takes to slim down… no matter the risks, the consequences, or the costs.

Yesterday, I told you about the skyrocketing popularity of Wegovy and the diabetes-turned-weight loss medication Ozempic, which many are calling “miracle drugs.”

And they DO work… until folks STOP taking them.

See, while these weight loss drugs can MELT away about 15 percent of total body weight…

The pounds come barreling back when folks STOP taking the drugs… often packing on even MORE weight than what was lost.

But for those who KEEP taking these drugs – and successfully regain their “girlish” figures…

There’s ANOTHER unintended consequence… and it’s staring them right in the FACE.

NOT the Same Old Thing

A growing number of health experts are worried about the rising use of weight loss drugs – thanks, in part, to glowing reviews on social media.

As a result, many folks are taking them without proper medical supervision.

And that’s a problem, because semaglutide (Wegovy and Ozempic) can cause side effects like nausea, vomiting, and racing heartbeat.

The even newer (and buzzier) diabetes drug tirzepatide (Mounjaro) is helping users lose even MORE weight than semaglutide – an additional 12 pounds, on average.

Nevermind that Mounjaro can lead to rare, but serious complications like pancreatitis and kidney failure – and carries a black box warning about an elevated risk of a rare type of thyroid cancer, identified in rodent studies.

And boy, these drugs don’t come cheap. They often cost more than $1,000 per month – and no, don’t count on insurance to pick up the tab.

But that hasn’t dulled their momentum – in fact, these drugs are being prescribed so frequently, diabetics are having trouble getting their hands on them!

And now, users are discovering another unintended consequence… premature AGING.

Friend, there’s a colorful quote attributed to actress Catherine Deneuve…

“At a certain age, you have to choose between your face and your [butt].”

And now, many users are being FORCED to make that choice.

Turns out, they’re losing so much weight, so quickly, their faces are losing youthful volume.

And that’s making them look gaunt… drawn… and OLD.

In fact, this “facial wasting” is so common, some plastic surgeons are calling it “Ozempic face.”

Some women are turning to injectable fillers, face lifts, and other types of plastic surgery to help smooth out wrinkles and pump up facial contours.

But these procedures carry their own risks – and can cost tens of thousands of dollars, putting them out of reach for most.

Eating this way reduces your appetite, making it easy to follow while you’re losing weight.
