New research from Rockefeller University in New York finds that testosterone may have a positive effect on Alzheimer’s disease. The study shows that the testosterone actually changes the processing of beta-amyloid precursor protein from the form associated with Alzheimer’s (“beta-amyloid peptides”) to a harmless or even beneficial form.
